Possibly one of the cutest things ever

This morning was a typical Friday morning. Fighting with Cash to put on any clothes, since he prefers diaper only. I put my foot down when it is chilly outside. It's basically my responsibility. Cole was wanting to watch "Go Diego Go!" before we headed out to take Erica to school. Kids were fed and Erica was finding her shoes. About the last task to accomplish before loading up what feels to be an entire Ark of animals, I load Erica's backpack with the completed assignments we have been working on throughout the week.

I opened her backpack and found a really nicely colored picture. Typically coloring is one of her least favorite past times. So I pulled it out and on one side was a full page of planets, stars, and space. Not a bit of white left on this piece of art. It had text that read, "Boys rule the world". Obviously, this peaked my interest. Where did this come from? Is counseling now needed from living with two-year-old twin brothers, who do rule the house most of the time? Or is there more on the other side that tells the story? I turned over the page and it read, "To Baby Boy. From your cousin Erica." How special is this? So special. Our family is embarking on something so new and exciting, we are finally going to have a new little cousin. It's a first for us at the Zoo who have been so busy having little ones ourselves that we finally are able to sit back and enjoy being "firsts". First time cousins and finally I will be an aunt!

Anyway, I understand Erica's desire to color like she has never colored before. It's an event we are all anticipating with great excitement. Still, I think finding that was the cutest thing I have seen in quite awhile. I heart my Erica!
